How do I teach my preschool- aged child?

What does my child need to know in preschool?

Do I need special curriculum or supplies to teach at home?

Am I qualified to teach my child?

Yes, you are qualified to teach your child at home. Many parents feel that they are ill-equipped to teach their own child - when in fact they have been teaching their child since their child's birth. Many parents also feel that they do not have the expertize to teach preschool because they have no experience or "not enough patience". The truth is that the number one factor for a child's educational success is whether the parents are involved in their child's education. If you are involved in your child's education that child will succeed.

While sitting in class as a masters student with a class full of educators the professor said the same thing I am telling you. Educators know that if the parents are involved in their child's education the child will succeed. The child's success is not based on income level or parent's education. You do not have to know anything about teaching or the latest philosophies to teach your child. The only qualification: To be an involved participant in your child's education.
