This is the first in a series of five books from Christian Liberty Press. They are meant as "readers" to practice and develop this skill in grades 1-5, so this book is for first graders. It is written in a conversational style and very enjoyable to read. I found these books to be useful on many levels. First as already mentined as readers, but also as science books in the study of the natural world, and further as stated in the preface,"This reader is designed not only to improve a child's reading skills and comprehension, but also to increase the youngster's understanding of and delight in God's wonderful creation." After enjoying this book, be sure to look at Book 2, Book 3, Book 4, and Book 5. I highly recommend this series!
