This is the fourth in a series of five books from Christian Liberty Press. They are meant as "readers" to practice and develop this skill in grades 1-5, so this book is for fourth graders. It is written in a conversational style and very enjoyable to read. I found these books to be useful on many levels. First as already mentined as readers, but also as science books in the study of the natural world. Another important purpose for these books is mentioned in the preface: "Believing that the student can gain an enhanced appreciation for God by studying His creation (Psalm 19:1;Romans 1:20), this textbook seeks to present the majestic splendor of His handiwork." This book is divided into the following sections: Pearching Birds; Birds of Prey; Studying Birds; Insects; Moths; Turtles and Snakes; and Toad, Bat, & Beaver.After enjoying this book, be sure to look at Book 4, and Book 5. I highly recommend this series!
