Christmas Carols for a Kid's Heart
by Bobbie Wolgemuth and Joni Eareckson Tada from the dust jacket: I totally agree...and I am "mucially challenged!" We have used the CD while cuddling on the couch, while driving around, wherever we have gone this season. We listen to the CD throughout the day, and then read the stories with Daddy in the evening during story time. The stories include Bible stories and history, even telling about the origin of the carol and the authors and composers. As we work through the stories in the book during the evening, we re-sing the corresponding carol. The children (ages 7,8, and 11) have really enjoyed the stories, the music (our 7 year old has to dance to it), and are really learning the lyrics. The book also includes a prayer and a memory verse for each carol and could be used as a devotional during the advent season.
