Family Driven Faith: Doing What it Takes to Raise Sons and Daughters Who Walk With God
by Voddie Baucham Jr.

A very well written and thoughtful book. I really appreciate the way Baucham backs up what he has to say with scripture. This is a challenging and intelligently written book. It explains the need to "disciple" our children. If we do not, the world will. As I look at this book and others like "Jumping Ship" by the Pearl's...I see a common theme among them. Perhaps God is speaking a message for our time through these different authors? This book is call to be the parents our children need in today's world!

from the dust jacket:
"More teens are turning away from the faith than ever before: it is estimated that as many as 70-88% of teens who profess Christianity walk away from their faith by the end of their freshman year of college. Something must be done. 'Family Driven Faith' equips Christian Parents with the tools they need to raise children biblically in a post-Christian, anti-family society. Voddie Baucham, who with his wife has overcome a multi-generational legacy of broken and dysfunctional homes, shows that God has not left us alone in raising godly children. He has given us timeless precepts and principles for multi-generational faithfulness, especially in Deuteronomy 6*. God's simple command to Moses to teach the Word diligently to the children of Israel serves as the foundation of 'Family Driven Faith.' "

*Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
