Teaching With JoyLiterature ... Homer Price | ||

Robert McCloskey We love reading these stories! Homer Price is a hysterical book about the adventures of a boy by the same name in the fictional town of Centerburg somewhere in the midwest in the 1940's. The book is made up of six chapters, each a story in itself, which makes it a perfect chapter book for reading aloud. Let's see...there is the story of a pet skunk named "Aroma", a doughnut making machine that just wouldn't quit, and a retelling of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin."
