This beautiful book tells the story of a little boy who imagines the adventurous life of a hero. His mother plays along and uses the opportunity to admire each godly Quality of her son's royal character. Traits such as honesty, kindness, wisdom, humility and courage are discussed.

We really enjoy reading this book. It is a great book to read as a family, individually or to use as a study of Godly character. The illustrations are vivid and each page includes a Bible verse to support the character trait described. Children have wonderful imaginations and what boy doesn't dream of being a knight or a king? What a fun way to learn and apply Godly character traits?

I love how the mother nurtures her son's imagination while building Godly characteristics into him.
My favorite part though? The end where Mom says, "But even if I am never a queen and even if we never live in a gigantic castle, and even if I never ride in a magnificent carriage or attend a lavish feast, you will still be my hero forever and ever because I love you so very much."

The worst part of this book is the struggle to make it through without Mom weeping!! :) Highly recommended.
