Proverbs 16: 6
"The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance."

As I read this verse this morning I was struck anew how true this verse is!
My boundary lines have truly fallen in pleasant places. The Lord has blessed me abundantly and my inheritance in Him is delightful! I don't understand why He has blessed me in so many ways -- a loving and Godly husband, a beautiful family, revelation of Jesus as my Lord and Savior (just to name a few). Why did He bless me so? Why do I get to live in America? Why do I get to enjoy the beauty of nature? The love of children? The security of family? The blessings of friends? Why?

Isn't it easy to be drug down by the dreariness of every day living? By crying children, seemingly redundant work, disconnect with family, depressing world events? The Lord gently reminded me this morning that my life is full of abundant blessings and that I sometimes allow distractions (b/c that is what those things truly are) to distort my vision. To take away my eternal perspective. To lose the joy found in simplicity. To forget my blessings.

I may never know the answers to the questions I posed above but I do know this.

My boundarly lines have fallen in pleasant places. My inheritance is delightful (don't you LOVE that word???). And I am humbly grateful. Thank you Jesus.

My prayer for you, this day, is that you may see your boundary lines in a new way today and that you will see your places as pleasant.
Bless you!
Michelle
