Pumpkin Dessert Squares

Cake:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (divided)
1 egg
½ c. butter, melted

Fillling:
2 eggs
2 c. pumpkin
½ tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cloves
2/3 c. evaporated milk
¾ c. brown sugar
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. ginger

Topping:
¼ c. brown sugar
¼ c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. reserved cake mix

(Cake) Measure out 1 cup cake mix for topping. To remaining cake mix, add butter and egg. Mix together well and press firmly into 9 x 13-inch pan. (Filling) Beat eggs slightly, add milk, pumpkin, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, and spices and pour over crust in pan. (Topping) Mix together reserved cake mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of pumpkin filling. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Serve with whipped topping.
