Roman Numerals by David A. Adler

David A. Adler is one of my favorite children's authors. His books are not classic stories but they are great resources in numerous subjects.

This informative picture book, Roman Numerals, explains the history of Roman numerals and how to read them in an easy and relatively short format. It is an introduction to Roman numerals that is appropriate for 1st-4th grade students. There is even a short activity to help children understand how to read and write larger Roman numerals. We are currently studying ancient history right now and found this book to be a great resource.
