This is a picture book version of the story detailing the orgin of the famous Christmas carol Silent Night. If you aren't familiar with this song's history this book will be a treat for you and your children. Its illustrations are lovely and the story is engaging. A great true story! A wonderful addition to your Christmas book collection or just to check out from the library.

The text can be a bit long on some pages. I would recommend this book for advanced first graders and above. Even adults will enjoy this book as they learn about the roots of this beloved carol.
