by Joyce Lankester Brisley

The best word to describe this book is delightful! First published in 1928, it is full of sweet wholesome stories about Milly-Molly-Mandy and her family and little friends in the village. Every little girl should become acquainted with this book. The charming stories in this book include: "Milly-Molly-Mandy Goes Errands," "Milly-Molly-Mandy Gives a Party," "Milly-Molly-Mandy Minds a Baby" and eighteen others. One of my daughters used this as an independent read in first and second grade and my younger daughter has enjoyed listening to the stories read aloud as a preschooler. And as Milly-Molly-Mandy's favorite friends include little-friend Susan and a little boy by the name of Billy Blunt, even my son in kindergarten enjoyed listening to a few of the chapters!
