The Pond began as a radio series about a set of creatures who live...in a pond! :) The creator, Charlie Richards says, it "centers around different creatures with the same goal, to become better".

Each episode involves a moral situation where the animals learn how to make wise choices or the consequences of making bad ones. Each is based on a Bible passage.

My boys enjoy this series. We found it by listening to kids' Christian radio online. Soon we purchased some cd's and now they are hooked! The stories are funny and each as a moral lesson based on a Bible verse.

The dialogue is clever and the story lines are funny but with a lesson. My boys often belly laugh through the episodes but can relate the lesson to me afterwards. I don't promote brainless entertainment. :)

The radio program cd's are actually difficult to find in stores at times. The company actually pushes their dvd's more heavily. In fact, you can't even purchase the radio cd's at company's website, only their dvd's. The dvd's are fine. We just prefer the radio programs.

If your kids like to listen to stories they will enjoy The Pond.
